Horizon Science Academy Elementary School is seeking a 3rd Grade General Education Teacher to join our team in August 2024 who is committed to educational success for all students. Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Support the school's mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies toward students, parents/guardians, and coworkers.

  • Knowledge of ELA, math, science, and SS standards and strategies to teach standards effectively. Assure students' understanding of classroom rules and procedures and assist students by answering questions, providing proper examples, emotional support, a friendly attitude, and general guidance.

  • Design and effectively deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum and instruction that reflects observations and goals of individual children.

  • Observe and control the behavior of students in the classroom according to approved procedures, monitor students during outdoor activities as directed, become familiar with student IEP goals, and report progress regarding student performance and behavior to the supervising teacher.

  • Interact frequently and respectfully with students and adults

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Valid OH teaching aide certificate/license or in the process of obtaining a valid OH teaching aide certificate/license preferred, however, will train the right candidate

  • Experience working with school aged students.

Compensation packages are competitive and commensurate with experience. Tuition Reimbursement is available up to 3K per year.
